Happy Birthday Sweet Narnie!

Our first baby is 5 today!! Poor Annabelle used to get wrapped birthday presents when she was an only child. She's not getting any presents this year, but I'll give her a few extra dog treats to celebrate.

And on the subject of birthdays....I got a text this morning from Adam's cousin Ginny saying that she was in labor! Yay!! We are so excited to meet baby Nate!! GO GINNY!!

Another Gift Idea

Like personalizing? These labels are waterproof and perfect for almost anything! I put them on Camp's sippy cups, snack bowls, change of clothes bags, food storage, casserole dishes, sunscreen bottles.....the possibilities are endless.
I make these oh-so-handy little labels and they would make the perfect Christmas gift for anyone on your list! If you are interested, shoot me an email (located in the right sidebar)

IMG_5940
I just made another set of these labels for our family with lime green polka dots and I added our phone number too! I dropped off a dessert platter for a party we couldn't attend and I put a label on the bottom.....didn't want to lose my pretty platter!!

A Boy & His Truck

I guess it's just ingrained in boys.......they're gonna love trucks.....
We are happy to announce that Camp has said his first word and you are not going to believe what it is......TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!! It sounds a little more like "Tuh", but it's clear that is what he is trying to say. He'll look out the window to see Adam pulling up and will say "Dada, Tuh".
The first thing we do when Adam gets home is go outside so Camp can play in Adam's truck. Camp just sits in the driver's seat and is perfectly content.
I'll make sure to take pictures of Camp and his new favorite hobby soon!
In the meantime I'll leave you with these pictures that I took this afternoon....enjoy!!

Oh Happy Day & Another Craft

We have a wild and crazy black lab named Ellie. She just turned two last week so I'm sure we have at least three more years of her neurotic behavior before she starts to calm down. We have a privacy fence on the sides of our back yard, but chose to do a four foot picket fence in the back for a better view of the park. Well, Ellie could clear the picket fence without any effort. We were constantly dealing with her jumping over. We knew she'd rather be outside, but we couldn't trust her to stay in the yard.
IMG_6346
Well, we finally had the fence company come out and tear down the four foot fence and install a six foot fence. I don't think I've ever been so excited! The fence was completed today and we enjoyed the evening not having to check on her every time she barked to make sure she hadn't jumped over. She's still going to sleep inside, but she'll spend the day outside enjoying the fresh air and the warm sun.
And I will be enjoying the decrease in dog hair!
IMG_6338
It really doesn't look that much different, but there's no way she's jumping over this new fence! (Adam's already tested it!) Now lets just hope she doesn't take a liking to digging her way out.....

After making the apothecary jars, I was inspired to do another craft! I found THIS and fell in love. I was surprised at how simple this was to create. It is probably one of the easiest crafts I've ever attempted. I made two wreaths and put them in the windows above our kitchen sink. I ended up using 72 ornaments on each wreath. I used the shatter resistant ornaments from Walmart.....they came 24 to a pack.

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a great weekend! The best part of all was probably watching the Gators lose!! Adam came home from work during the 1st half and we watched the game together. We didn't know we were such Alabama fans! :)

IMG_6191
Camp learned how to climb up on furniture......He's now able to climb up on his table and the coffee table. This is going to make things very interesting!

IMG_6192
My mom, Camp, and I headed to Market Days. My mom and I have been going for probably ten years. We usually browse through the craft vendors without buying much. I usually get a personalized ornament or two, but this year we got absolutely NOTHING! It's always so fun to go though, it's just another one of our yearly Christmas traditions. I think the only reason that we really go is so we can go to lunch afterwards. :) Yesterday we changed up our routine and ate a yummy lunch at Tijuana Flats. Camp surprisingly slept through the entire lunch!! I guess shopping wears him out!

IMG_6193
Here is Camp all bundled up ready to go to Market Days. He didn't keep that hat or blanket on for very long!

IMG_6196
When we got home, we helped Daddy work in the yard....

IMG_6225
And finished putting out all of our Christmas decorations.

IMG_6246
We also took Camp to Dorothy B. Oven to see all of the Christmas lights. This is probably one of my favorite things that Tallahassee does during the Christmas season. I love it! Camp really had a great time walking through by himself. He didn't want us picking him up to take him to a different part of the park!

IMG_6263
And he was more interested in the lights than taking a picture with his Mama!

In between these two pictures, we had to take a break and let other people have a turn taking pictures on the sleigh.....
IMG_6332
You can see Camp was not very happy about having to get off the sleigh!!! He crumbled and couldn't get it together for another picture! It was 8:30 so I'm blaming it on being past his bedtime! :)

Happy Monday!

Project Complete!

IMG_5867

I'm in love!!! They turned out just as I hoped they would. I filled them with spearmint starlight mints, mini candy canes, and gumdrops. I figured these were good choices because these are probably my least favorite candies ever. They sure are pretty though!!
I found the tutorial HERE.

Last Minute Trip

We just got back from a quick trip to St. Augustine to visit my dad and Meri. Trip was planning on going for a few days and Camp and I decided we wanted to tag along! We didn't have anything planned and Adam had to go back to work so it was perfect timing!

On Monday we headed to a little neighborhood park. This park was perfect for Camp! There were lots of different pieces of equipment to choose from and he had a blast!

On Tuesday, Meri, Camp, and I headed to Hobby Lobby. I've been hearing it was all the rage and it's always mentioned in the crafty blogs that I follow. I had a craft in mind before going and I was able to find all of the supplies and then some! :) I could have spent three hours in this store! It was amazing.....filled with all of the things I love. If Tallahassee had a Hobby Lobby I'd probably get a job there and spend my entire paycheck on Hobby Lobby goodies!!
IMG_5765
I can't wait to start working on my little craft project! I will post pictures as soon as I'm finished! I know my Dad and Meri are looking forward to seeing the final product.....I talked so much about it!

IMG_5788
These are my Dad's new appetizer idea. Maybe it's already been invented, but we've never seen it before. It's a mini taco! I had fun staging the food for a picture......and of course I took the tomato and lettuce off before I ate them. :) It worked for Krystal.....maybe we're sitting on a gold mine!!

IMG_5812

We had such a great time! Camp hadn't seen his Grandpa since June and hadn't seen his Grandma since February!!

IMG_5813
We're going back to visit again in two more weeks and this time Adam gets to join in on the fun!!
AND my sister Charlotte and her family will be there too!!

Need A Gift Idea?

My friend Sarah has a precious jewelry business called My Finch Designs. Most of my jewelry is from her and I always receive compliments when I wear one of her pieces. I usually buy her jewelry for gifts for friends and family as well.
Check out her blog and order a piece or two! (she also takes custom orders)
They make the perfect gifts and don't forget to order something for yourself too!!
Some of my faves....

We Are Thankful

IMG_5583
We had a lovely Thanksgiving. We spent a relaxing day with Adam's family and enjoyed being able to stay put at one house! :)

Camp and his cousin Barrett are 17 months apart. They had lots of fun together. Next Thanksgiving, there will be three sweet boys....Adam's cousin Ginny is expecting her first baby boy in three weeks!

IMG_5537
Carrie Anne made this adorable pumpkin shaped cheese spread....yummy & sooo cute!
IMG_5533
My contribution to the Thanksgiving meal. Pumpkin Bars & Pumpkin Gingerbread Trifle.....both extremely tasty!
IMG_5600
Camp has learned how to use the duck call and it's now his favorite toy!
IMG_5601IMG_5594

And no Thanksgiving is complete without a little family game of poker!
IMG_5616

Or a late night trip to What-a-Burger!!
IMG_5622

IMG_5628

IMG_5630
We ate Thanksgiving dinner at 2:00 and by 8:00, we were all hungry again! So we all headed to What-A-Burger and enjoyed another meal together!

On Friday, Camp and I braved the crowds and hit up Walmart, Target, & World Market. We didn't get started until 8am, but we still had fun and were still able to get some good deals. (like $3 Handy Manny PJ's for Camp.....they are the tackiest things on the planet, but he's going to LOVE them! And at least he won't be able to wear them outside of the house)
IMG_5655
Camp was such an excellent shopping partner. He didn't complain one bit! We finished the morning at Chick-fil-A for breakfast.
My mom and I usually go shopping early Friday morning, but she, Fred, Trip, & Chandler spent Thanksgiving in Ocala with my Grandma. We're not ones for running through the stores and trampling other customers, but it's just always fun to get out with the crowds! It's fun and festive!

We have so much to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving!
