not in the mood for pictures & quick trip to the fair

Camp was not interested in getting his picture made...

He just wanted to sit in his chair and enjoy his lollipop in peace!

But I love these pictures anyway!

Adam, Camp, and I made a quick trip to the fair. We hadn't been in years and Camp had never been, so we decided to give it a try. We thought he might enjoy the animals and tractors!

This attraction was the highlight of my night!! I've never seen these, but they were called Hamster Balls! It was so funny to watch these kids roll around in the balls on the water without even getting wet!

We headed straight for the animals and Camp enjoyed petting goats, cows, and sheep!

We didn't stay very long, but just long enough to get a corn dog and a funnel cake (the only reason to go to the fair, in my opinion!) I always forget how "sketch" the fair is!! :) We aren't one for the rides so that part is lost on us, but we had a nice evening out enjoying the sights! :)

Last weekend Camp helped Bop Bop load up firewood into the Gator...

He was perfectly dressed for the part!

first haircut

Adam had a hair appointment yesterday and wanted Camp to tag along so he could get his hair cut too! It was Camp's first official hair cut!

 

Camp wasn't very fond of getting his hair cut...he'd move his head right as the scissors got close to his hair!

We gave him a lollipop and a cup of coffee (the child comes by that naturally) to distract him a bit.

Miss Glenda did a great job despite such a squirmy Camp!

He looks so cute with his little trim and I love that we took Camp to the same barber shop that Adam's been going to since he was a little boy!

More Halloween Festivities

Camp's preschool class had a costume parade last week...the younger classes paraded in front of the parents and older students. It was the cutest thing.

Camp walked out and seemed a little unsure of this whole thing...

Then he caught a glimpse of Daddy and lost it! Poor little baby.

He gained his composure quickly and Adam helped him walk in the parade for a short while...

Then Camp got really into it...he walked with his class again all by himself!

He got into true frog character and hopped his way through the parade.

Back in his classroom...he was a scary frog!

Adam brought home the tractor for the hayride a day before Halloween.

Camp and Adam played on that thing every chance they got!

Every time I looked outside, Camp would be playing on the tractor and asking "mama, crank?"

Halloween 2010

Our Halloween was great!! We had some people over for a Halloween party and hayride. Camp was so excited for the hayride and told each guest as they arrived that there was a big tractor in his backyard!

Camp dressed up as a frog this year. He had his frog sounds and moves down pat. He loved to hop hop hop!

This was the first year we had a hayride and we hope to make it an annual event! Next year we will have lights, cupholders, music, and a chauffeur! :)

Camp knew exactly what to do and he had a blast!

Most of his candy did not make it all the way home!

Our last stop was at Yaya & Bop Bop's! We were only their 2nd group of trick-or-treaters so they had plenty of candy for us!

Camp thought he was a real frog and jumped off the front porch into the grass!

Sally Kate & Camp snuck into Yaya & Bop Bop's house and thought they were pretty funny! :)
