Eltie Norris*

This crazy girl has made her Daddy so very happy this duck season. She lives for hunting! Adam will pick up a gun or even his hunting clothes and she starts jumping up and down. She really is a natural and definitely has the drive for retrieving.

*Just like her sister, Ellie has many many nicknames. Eltie Norris is our favorite. :)

Bethel Kishnethel

Like the new look? We have Bethel to thank! She's oh so talented and always hooks me up with cute headers......and quotes or poems. :) Beth and I have known eachother for 16 years and have been BFFAEAE for about 10 years! She's the best friend a girl could have. We made a pact our freshman year of college to never lose touch and I think we've followed through. Sometimes we'll go weeks, even a month without talking, but we always pick up right where we left off. I'm truly blessed to have her in my life.

My House is Worth What?

Adam and I have had a fun filled day! We started early around 5:30 am with vacuuming, mopping, and finishing up pinestraw installation. The crew arrived around 8 am and it was non stop all day! We now have a huge respect for camera crews and directors. Their patience amazes me! It was such a great experience.....how many people can say they'll be on HGTV? The realtor, Jason Naumann, was hilarious and he made it extra fun. I don't think we've laughed that hard in a while!

And how much is our house worth????

That's a surprise! The show will air in six months and we'll have about a two week notice.....STAY TUNED!!!!!!!!! :)

All About Camp - 4 months

We go to the dr. on February 2nd so I'll update his stats then.

• He's grabbing at toys when we place them in front of him.
• He's giggling.
• He coughs on purpose. He likes that he gets such a reaction out of it.
• He chews on his hands and fingers any chance he gets.
• He can take his paci out, but we're still working on putting it back in. Sometimes he can maneuver it back in with his arms.
• He really loves his Daddy and he loves when they play airplane.
• He sleeps 11 hours at night.
• He will turn in the direction of any of our voices.

The other night Adam was talking about how quickly these past four months have gone by. Adam said "Man, months one, two, and three have gone by bang bang bang." And Camp started laughing hysterically!!! I think it was the way Adam said "bang bang bang" so of course we said it again and again and we didn't get the reaction like we did the first time. He's giggling all of the time, but the laughing hysterically has only happened about two or three times. It is so stinkin' cute when he does it though. :)

The Time Has Come

Only a few more days until our house will be filled with camera crews and bright lights. Are we ready? Not even close. I've always been somewhat of a procrastinator. We plan on spending the next few days scrubbing and uncluttering. In honor of our television debut here are the before and after pictures of the outside of our home.

The show isn't going to air for another six months or so....don't you worry.....the whole world will know when it's going to be on. I will keep you all posted.

I Love My Husband

We live right in the middle of town and we must be on the ambulance route to the hospital. It's not unusual to hear maybe ten sirens a day. Well last night as I was lying in bed thinking of all of the things I needed to do today, I heard sirens. Adam rolls over and says "You might want to call the police." I quickly asked him why and he mumbled words in reply. I then realized that he was talking in his sleep. I just laid there and started laughing hysterically by myself.....he had no idea.

My husband makes me laugh even when he's sleeping and for that, I love him even more. :)

Trip marched in the Inauguration Parade yesterday. He attends the United States Merchant Marine Academy he's graduating in June and will begin making his eighty g's and they had a group go to DC. The link to the video is above if you want to see his group. He's at 1:43:25.....I just fast forwarded to his spot. Yay Tripper!

Fun

We had a cookout Saturday night and this was our dessert. We were able to use our new firepit to roast the marshmallows and ooohh were they yummy! I'm in love with s'mores.



Here are a few pictures from the past week. Camp's becoming such a big boy. He's been sitting in his Bumbo chair and he really enjoys playing on his tummy and back. He loves just laying in his crib and watching his mobile. When his mobile runs out, he'll just lay there and talk to himself! It's so cute. It's a great place to put him when I have to take a shower and he's not napping. I like that he's able to entertain himself when I need him to. :)

Camp is sleeping great at night. He'll usually sleep 11 hours straight. Last night he went down at 6:45! Normally I don't like him to go down quite that early, but he had a nice warm bath around 6 and I think it made him sleepy earlier. He has been going down between 7:30 and 8:30 and it's really nice. I on the other hand can't seem to get a good nights sleep. I'm waking up about every three hours to go check on him. I'm hoping my paranoia of having to constantly check on him subsides soon!

Snuggle Bunny

Camp is such a snuggle bunny. He's recently become fond of little blankets and likes to cuddle with them. I think it's so cute!

Just Like Daddy.....AND Mama!

We'll have someone meet Camp and they'll say, "He looks just like his Daddy!" and then the very next person will say "He looks just like his Mama!". Maybe that's because he looks like the both of us!! :)

Three in One!

Oh man....Lollie and Popsie warned me that once I had children, I would be hooked on coffee. Well, they were right! I had a nice cup of joe this morning and this is now my THIRD blog post today....it's only 9 am! :) But I wanted to let all of my readers know that my good friend Holly at HGTV has asked me if any of our friends are house hunting. She's starting to work on the HGTV show House Hunters and needs "contestants". I'm So Excited

The city is building this playground practically in our back yard! There is a little park right behind our house that had been neglected for many years. After a few trees fell down during Tropical Storm Fay, it's getting more attention....and a new playground! Could it be better timing? Camp is going to have his very own park right in his back yard!

I'm most excited about this little number.....what do you think it's going to be?!

And because there is a park so close, we don't have to worry about finding a spot in our back yard for a swing set. Soooo Adam and the crew have been working extra hard on our back yard overhaul. Because so much of our yard has been unearthed, we probably had 200 birds back there this morning....no lie! I guess they are finding lots of yummy worms and insects to feast on. I'm sad to say that I have no idea what kind of bird this is...Mama Byrd can you help me out?

I tried to get a picture of all of the birds, but they flew off into the trees before I could get the full effect. Here are a few flying in the BEAUTIFUL blue sky. I'm taking Camp on a walk when he gets up from his nap....it's such a gorgeous day!

Who's That Pretty Boy in the Mirror?

Mamaw bought this tummy time mat for Camp. I'm so happy that he loves this thing as much as he does! He kept looking all around at the fun things and kept trying to grab the birds! I've loved every stage of Camp's babyhood so far, but I have to say that this stage is extra fun! He's so curious and it's so neat to see him experiencing things for the first time.

Cool Dude

I put Camp in the umbrella stroller for the first time today. I can't believe he's big enough to sit in this now! We went for a little walk around the neighborhood and he really enjoyed it.

LIVE from Anaheim!

If you know Fred, you know he's a huge fan of motocross. He's obsessed. Well, the other day he calls me and asks if we wanted to come over for a tailgate. I figured it was for the National Championship (I barely keep up with college football...much less GATOR football!) So I had no idea when that game was going to be played. But Fred wanted us to come over for a tailgate to watch the race! :) I'm always up for a party and fun food so Adam and I headed over for a great night. It was Trip's last night in town. The race was live from California so it didn't start until 10:30. Fred suggested we take a nap early in the evening so we could stay up and watch the entire thing. We didn't watch it to the bitter end, but we did manage to get in a few races.

Play Time

The Meyer family got Camp this play mat for Christmas. He loves it! He's starting to bat at toys. It's so fun watching him take it all in. He's really starting to notice sounds and music. He loves when we sing to him and he LOVES patty cake! His favorite part is at the end when we say "YAY!" We can always get a little giggle out of him when we do that.

We had a great New Years! We spent a night at the Byrdnest (Camp's first trip!) and it was looking better than ever. Aunt Vicki and Uncle Oscar came over for Shell Shack Shrimp and we had a wonderful time! Adam and I love hanging out with them. We then went over to Cape San Blas and stayed two nights at the Lion's Paw. We had such fun!

My wish for all of my friends and family in 2009 is health and happiness! Here's to a great year!!!
