Productive

We've had an extremely relaxing and productive weekend! Adam threw his back out on Thursday and couldn't even move by Friday morning. He attempted to get ready for work, but quickly realized he needed to get right back into bed. Adam never takes sick days from work.....the last time he missed work for being sick was July 2007 when he had surgery and it was the doctor's orders!! Even after surgery it was tough keeping Adam home! :) So although Adam was hurting, Camp and I were loving having him home!! Adam even said he had so much fun just hanging out. He ended up going to work for a few hours on Saturday, but it seemed to make matters worse, so Sunday was another fun filled relaxing day!

With Adam being home all weekend, I was able to get soooooo much accomplished!! I cleaned out cabinets, closets, and attempted a few crafty things that I have been putting off.
When we were visiting Beth at her parents house a few months ago, Camp discovered this wagon in their garage. Beth told us to take it home because no one at the Madigan household had any use for it anymore. Many years ago, Beth's younger brother, JT, transformed it to a racing wagon complete with racing stripes and it looked a little ghetto.....

Ok A LOT ghetto......

But Camp didn't care and we've been taking fun wagon rides almost daily since we brought it home! I've wanted to paint it for some time now, but finally got the time to do it this weekend!
It's almost as good as new!

I also painted two canvases for Camp's room. They turned out better than I expected and most importantly, Camp LOVES them! I also finally added the three black and white framed photos on the wall next to his crib and I think it looks fantastic. I bought a new shelf to go above his changing table because the one I bought orignally looked a little dinky.....I'm just waiting for a drill and then that will be complete as well! Camp is almost 19 months old and the nursery is finally the way I want it!

On Saturday night we made cookies. We turned the kitchen light off and the oven light on so we could watch our cookies bake! Camp was pretty excited!

And last, but not least, our weekend was made even better when Trip brought over the sketch he did of our house! I asked him to sketch our house for a birthday gift for Adam and I am blown away at how wonderful it turned out!
Trip is not only single and ready to mingle, but he's also extremely talented!

The details are incredible!! Trip was cursing the fact that we have a brick house, but the hard work definitely paid off!

I was brought to tears by this little detail......little Camper in the door! (click on the picture to enlarge) For anyone that has ever been to our house recently, this is how Camp greets our guests....including Adam when he comes home from work. We will cherish this forever!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH TRIP!!!

I'm glad you like it Lane, I had a lot of fun drawing it. And the wagon looks awesome! I'm coming home Friday for a few days so we're gonna have to get together over the weekend. I wanna see my PIC before I go to work.
