We have a wild and crazy black lab named Ellie. She just turned two last week so I'm sure we have at least three more years of her neurotic behavior before she starts to calm down. We have a privacy fence on the sides of our back yard, but chose to do a four foot picket fence in the back for a better view of the park. Well, Ellie could clear the picket fence without any effort. We were constantly dealing with her jumping over. We knew she'd rather be outside, but we couldn't trust her to stay in the yard.
Well, we finally had the fence company come out and tear down the four foot fence and install a six foot fence. I don't think I've ever been so excited! The fence was completed today and we enjoyed the evening not having to check on her every time she barked to make sure she hadn't jumped over. She's still going to sleep inside, but she'll spend the day outside enjoying the fresh air and the warm sun.
And I will be enjoying the decrease in dog hair!
It really doesn't look that much different, but there's no way she's jumping over this new fence! (Adam's already tested it!) Now lets just hope she doesn't take a liking to digging her way out.....
After making the apothecary jars, I was inspired to do another craft! I found THIS and fell in love. I was surprised at how simple this was to create. It is probably one of the easiest crafts I've ever attempted. I made two wreaths and put them in the windows above our kitchen sink. I ended up using 72 ornaments on each wreath. I used the shatter resistant ornaments from Walmart.....they came 24 to a pack.
