Boo Boo
This sweet boy has six stitches in the middle of his forehead. I've been reliving the horrific event in my head since it happened and it makes me weak to even think about it. Camp is totally fine, but I'm a nervous wreck.
He fell on the base molding of the stair case at my mom and Fred's house. I was standing right there, just about to pick him up, but I was just a few seconds too late. Of course it bled like crazy and it was a terrifying sight. Trip and I ended up taking Camp to Patient's First thinking that a little glue and a bandaid would do the trick, but the dr. suggested we take him to the ER so a plastic surgeon could do stitches. I immediately broke down right there.....I didn't want stitches in my precious baby's forehead!! I was hoping it wasn't really as bad as it looked.....
Adam met us at Urgent Care and we were seen by a doctor and nurse right away. We were soooo extremely blessed with patient and understanding medical professionals. The dr. previously worked in plastic surgery and was also a mother of a two year old......how comforting to a worried mama like me! Adam stayed in the room with Camp because I couldn't stand to hear him cry (or watch the procedure!)! Thank goodness for Adam!!!!
We took the bandaid off today and it's not quite as bad as I was expecting. Camp is none the wiser and hasn't missed a beat. I'm just hoping that the scar is minimal and heals quickly.

Toby told me. I'm so sorry you had to go through that! Poor baby Camper......... think of it as a manly scar!
Oh, precious one.... There's something about babies and staircases. Chandler had 15 stitches in her jaw from a staircase. Think it hurts the mamas more than the babies. Glad Camp and his mama survived the day!
so sorry for Camper but more sorry for his sweet mommy :( OXOXOX to you both :)
Well, Adam was proud of the little guy anyway!! Uncle Dave was too!! LOL! I know it's not funny but he is all too tuff-n-tumble for mom to be freaking out!!! We were just talking about him Friday night to friends being rough.....Best of Luck girl!!!
Aww, I teared up just reading this! I know EXACTLY how you feel! It was horrific when they tried to put the IV in when C was hospitalized a few weeks ago. I made it through 5 attempts and 5 vein collapses, and I finally had to leave the room. It's amazing how quickly they bounce back! I'm glad he is ok!
