Farm & Friends
We started the weekend up at the farm.
This little guy had the best time!
Camp loved watching Ellie chase after the dummy.
The camellias were just starting to bloom and they were absolutely gorgeous!
On Saturday, Beth and I went to a yummy lunch complete with mimosas and dessert....just the two of us. I so wish that we lived closer together. :)
On Saturday we went to a cookout at Marcus and Holly's house. Camp was just one of many little kids. They all played together so nicely. I love when Camp is able to play with other kids.
Camp also went to the church nursery for the first time this morning!! He did such a great job! He was a little hesitant walking in, but as soon as he spotted the toy trucks, he didn't look back! I was so proud of him.
Tonight we headed to my mom and Fred's to eat gumbo. After dinner Camp had fun emptying the pots and pans out of the drawer! Uncle Trip put him in the drawer and Camp was pretty pleased with that.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

16 Months
I had many requests (okay, just two) to bring Beary back to the monthly pictures. I decided I'd give it a whirl this month and I now remember how hard it was to get Camp to sit still and pose with his Beary! This is about as good as I could get.
Camp is even more in love with trucks these days. The other day he noticed a huge truck at the house across the street. He stood at the door and just looked out in amazement.
I took Camp to the park today and he had so much fun. There were parked bulldozers there and Camp was really more interested in playing with those than playing on the playground equipment! He didn't understand why he couldn't just play on them like he does at the shop!
After I distracted Camp from the bulldozers, he noticed a lady sitting at the picnic table eating Chick fil A. He immediately went right up to her and started signing please. :)
So after the park, we went to Chick fil A and brought it back to "our" park for a little picnic of our own!
Our nightly routine.... :)
All About Camp----16 Months
- He's very affectionate and loves to give hugs. He'll wrap his arms around us, pat our backs and say, awwww. It makes me want to cry every time he does it!
- He has a great fascination with other children and will also give them hugs (or try to!) whenever he sees them.
- He still LOVES to be outside.
- He says Mama, Dada, ball, dog, truck, Popsie, I love you, and uh oh.
- He addresses me as Mama all the time and I love, love, love it. I don't think I will ever get sick of him calling me that. And he does the same thing with Adam, but he's been doing that for a while now!
- He can move on his riding toys all by himself now. No more pushing him around! :(
- Loves drinking out of straws.
- Loves walking up and down stairs.
- He'll point to the right picture in books when we ask him where something is.....he's so smart! :)
- In size 18 month clothes, size 4 diaper (still loving Huggies), and size 4-5 shoe.
- He's a big fan of Conversation Hearts....yuck!
- Favorite food is still blueberries.....with cheese, crackers, and bananas in close second. He eats anything and everything though......he's not a picky eater in the slightest!

Discovering Bubbles
He was so amazed.
The best part was that the bubble wand popped up out of the bottle and I didn't have to get slimy bubbles all over my hands! :)

A Video & Randomness
I was able to capture most of Camp's animal sounds on video last night. I'm still trying to get "Aye Yuh Oooh" (I love you) and Bop Bop (Popsie) on film.....the little stinker knows I'm filming him and is more interested in the flashing red light than doing what I ask him to do!
I finally painted Camp's kids table and chairs and I'm so pleased with them!! I especially love the green! I used Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Satin in aqua, green apple, & strawflower.
Camp can now crawl up on the rocking chair. He thinks it's absolutely hilarious when he does it! He will also stand up on it and rock back and forth.....I'm not quite brave enough to take my eyes off of him long enough to capture a picture of that though!!
I FINALLY took down our Christmas decorations on Wednesday and brought out the few Valentine's decorations that we have. As sad as I was to see the Christmas decorations go, it makes our house look less cluttered and I like it.
Yesterday it rained, and rained, and rained! Our poor yard looks so pitiful now! We were very happy to see the bright blue skies today!
This picture is for Uncle Trip! Camp wore the shirt you got him to bed the other night. After I put the shirt on him, he came in the room with the hat you gave him too! I think he knows that the Guy Harvey hat and shirt are supposed to go together!
I made two new recipes this week for dinner. One of my "new years resolutions" was to make one week of brand new recipes. I usually cook Monday-Thursday so that's four meals.....well I'm halfway there! :) I was hoping to make a week straight of new meals, but you know how that goes! Both recipes were huge successes so I might post them soon!

We are the Ruffles
I brought Cake Shop cupcakes as a surprise and little did I know Mary did the same thing....
Mary had the Cake Shop put our initials on them!
The Birmingham trip also served as a birthday celebration for Heather & Mary....Cake Shop cupcakes make the best breakfast!
Saturday afternoon we headed to lunch at Bottega. I ordered Macaroni & Cheese with a side salad. So tasty!
Me, Heather, Jill
Holly, Mary, Hillary aka The Other Mama
We were so excited that Hillary drove to Birmingham for the day!!
We then headed to shops in Homewood.
Heather found a doll that looked just like her!! :)
After walking out of Paper Affair, I saw something that might be interesting....the sign read "Yogurt Mountain".....all of my shopping partners quickly agreed that we needed to go check it out. It was the coolest place.....a self serve yogurt and topping bar. You fill up your cup with any or all of the yogurt flavors, get as many toppings as you like, then you take it to the cashier to be weighed. I was so overwhelmed as to what flavor frozen yogurt I should choose!! I ended up with cheesecake, peanut butter, and chocolate frozen yogurts.....then it was off to the toppings. Heath Bar, Reese's, brownies, Rice Krispie Treats, and mini M&M's made the cut.
A picture of our works of art....the prices ran from $4 to almost $8! Hillary won the prize for the most expensive cup of yogurt, but she's eating for two! :)
After Yogurt Mountain we said our goodbyes to Hillary and headed to The Summit for even more shopping! We hit up Janie & Jack, Williams Sonoma, Ann Taylor, J. Crew, Gap, and Anthropologie. Lets just say we definitely did our part in stimulating the economy! :)
We had a little too much fun in the dressing rooms of Ann Taylor.
Heather Lane, Mary Lane, & Mary Caroline.
Fabulous flats (a little wet from all the rain!)
The Lanes
The sisters
I love Anthropologie....and I love these bowls.
We ate dinner at La Paz. My new favorite restaurant.
I enjoyed this tasty Strawberry Margarita and yummy Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas!
Sunday came too soon, but we ate a FABULOUS brunch at Chez Lulu.
The best hot chocolate that I have ever had in my life!! I'd love a cup right now!
The Ruffles
We had such a wonderful time. We're already planning our next trip to Birmingham....same weekend, same restaurants! :) (Beth...put it on your calendar NOW!)
Thank you Mama Byrd, Cap, and Auntie Chandler for watching the Camper!!
Adam was also out of town on his own boys weekend......a bachelor party for Clay in New Orleans! :) I think Adam's already working on the blog post recapping his weekend! ;)
