Backyard

Right before My House is Worth What? came to film in January, Adam got motivated to redo our backyard. He and his crew did a fantastic job and we enjoy it everyday. I've never shown before, during, and after pictures so here goes!

This picture was taken as we were renovating the house. (January 2007) I wish I had a picture of what it looked like even before this. Most of the backyard was overgrown with brush and the city park wasn't even visible.

This was taken in the very beginning of the backyard transformation. (January 2009)

Our home is going to be featured in the December/January issue of the Tallahassee Home & Design magazine. Our kitchen, breakfast room, and yard will be featured in their Before & After article. We're really excited, but just like preparing for our TV show, it was a lot of hassle uncluttering and making sure things were in top notch shape. I scheduled the photographer to come early in the morning because I was told that we would not be in the photos. I woke up this morning and threw last minute clutter into drawers and did a final clean sweep through the house before he got here. When the photographer got here I was unshowered and still in my PJ's. After he started snapping away, he told me he wanted me and Camp to get in a picture so the readers would be able to get a feeling for the size of our kitchen. I looked at him like he was crazy!! So Camp and I won't be making an appearance in the magazine, but I figured I'd spare Tallahassee. :)

And word on the street is that our show on HGTV will air in January!!!

And just because...

Camp's new favorite toy these days is Adam's duck call. Adam's been trying so hard teaching him how to use it correctly, but Camp doesn't quite get it yet!
