Just What the Dr. Ordered

While Camp was eating his breakfast this morning, he fell out of his highchair and landed right on his forehead. Do you see that big goose egg? He cried for a few seconds and then was fine.
We had his 1 year doctor appointment today so I had Dr. Elzie check it out just to be on the safe side. Dr. E's exact words were "wow, that's impressive!" :)
Camp's stats were:
Weight- 21 pounds, 14 ounces (35%)
Height- 31 inches (82%)
Head Circumference- 18.7 inches (82%)Camp had a great check up and Adam and I had a nice long visit with Dr. Elzie. I can't say it enough, but I love him as our pediatrician. He sat in there and talked to us like he had no other patients waiting on him.
Camp got four shots and cried as he got them, but then was fine!! He's such a big boy!

Camp and I went over to our friend Meredith's house yesterday for a little photography class. She's a great photographer and I just wanted to pick her brain to get a better idea on how to take better pictures. She gave me lots of pointers and showed me some great equipment/lenses that I just NEED! Like this and this!

I had lots of people send me emails/messages/comments about not being able to find pumpkin in the stores. After I made the batch of cookies last week (made with a can of pumpkin that I had left over from last year) I wanted to buy more and couldn't find any myself!
I contacted Libby's and they said most of the pumpkin crop from last year didn't meet their high standards so they didn't produce as many cans. BUT they will be harvesting this year's crop soon and to expect more in the next few weeks. I found plenty of cans today when I was at Wal-Mart so I purchased TWELVE. If any of you are still having a hard time finding pumpkin, let me know and I might be able to part with a can or two. :)
In my honest opinion, I think that come September, people go pumpkin crazy (myself included) and clean the stores out of their supply before the stores increase their pumpkin orders for the fall. Canned pumpkin is available year round, but I'm sure stores buy more during the fall months to keep up with the demand. I had this same exact problem last year at this time and was able to find pumpkin the week after Camp was born..... ;) Because you know me, I remember things like that!!

And with my twelve cans of pumpkin I may attempt these in the near future...
How good does this look??!!!
This should be illegal.

I found the pumpkin in the baking aisle at Wal-Mart. At Publix, it's usually in the canned fruit aisle.

You are so funny with your pumpkin hoarding. I think there is a new reality show for people like you!
And I, too, HEART pumpkin anything, so I'm going to check out those recipes. I found a huge Libby's pumpkin mix at Sam's and have already made 2 loaves of pumpkin bread from it! And that was only half the box! I would check on it at your Sam's if you can.
Your pics look great! It looks like you are using flickr to post to the blog? Isn't that SO much easier? Is so, are you using the large size? E-mail me. I have some other detailed notsomuch for the comment section questions.
HUGS!!
