Happy Two Months, Camper!!
2 months
2 months
1 month
1 week
Who's absolutely head over heels in love with this precious baby??!! WE ARE!!!!!!! Wow, what a difference two months make! I think he's actually bigger than Beary now! It's neat to look back and see his growth. We know he's getting bigger, but when we see him everyday, it's hard to tell how much. Before I took the 2 month pictures this morning I thought that he wouldn't look much different from his 1 month. :)
We are getting very excited for the beginning of Camp's first holiday season! We are eating Thanksgiving dinner with Adam's family and then heading up to Thomasville to visit with Nina, Papa, Aunt Vicki, Uncle Oscar, Trey, & Colleen. Mama Byrd, Trip, and Chandler will be there too!

Happy Baby & Sweet Puppies
Mmmm! Could he get any sweeter?
These poor puppies have been neglected on the blog lately so I thought I would post this picture. Ellie ate her17th dog bed while they were at the kennel two weeks ago so the dogs have to get creative to find places to sleep. Annabelle has been trying to sleep on the couch in our living room and it is driving me crazy! We have to put Adam's guitar on the couch to deter her. She's scared to death of that guitar so it's a great deterrent! Last night Annabelle got up on a suitcase that is in our room and slept on that!!! I need to get a picture if she does it again...she's the silliest dog. Adam took Ellie duck hunting yesterday and she did great!! He was grinning ear to ear when he got home. He was so proud of her! I'm glad that all of the time Adam has spent retrieving with her has paid off!

Sweet Boy
This baby can't get any sweeter! He's really starting to smile ALL the time! He's also starting to coo and it makes our hearts melt. He slept seven hours straight Thursday night and six hours last night. Yesterday was his eight week birthday....can you believe it?! I can't believe that he'll be two months old on Wednesday.

Pumpkin Perfection
If you know me, you know that I LOVE anything pumpkin. I stumbled across these yummy pumpkin cookies while at the Wood's house last fall. They are the tastiest things! I made a batch the other night and Camp sat in his high chair like a big boy!
Doesn't look like much...yet!
Mmmm...I think I might make another batch today...seeing that there are only two cookies left from this batch. :)
Ellie is hoping that I drop a crumb or two!
I just had to post this pic of this precious Thanksgiving decoration! I bought her (and her husband) at Miss Mandy's last year and they just make me smile every time I see them!
Don't think that I'm going to devote a post to cookies and not give the recipe!!! :)
Pumpkin Cookies
1 cup sugar
1 cup pumpkin
1/2 cup oil
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. milk (I used 1 tsp. of pumpkin spice coffee mate, but I'm sure it didn't make much difference)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips.
Combine sugar, pumpkin, oil, and egg. In a separate bowl mix next four ingredients and add to pumkin mixture. Dissolve baking soda, milk, and vanilla and add to the rest. Mix in chocolate chips.
Lightly grease cookie sheet and bake for 9 minutes in a 350* oven...do not overcook!
These are more like a pumpkin bread in a cookie form.
Thank you, Becca for sharing this wonderful recipe!!

On Mountain Time
Adam, Camp, and I just got back from a wonderful vacation to the mountains of North Georgia and North Carolina. We spent Thursday and Friday nights with Aunt Vicki and Uncle Oscar in Cornelia, Georgia. They have a BEAUTIFUL home on the Chattahoochee river. On Friday we took a drive to Helen and ate lunch. It was so nice just driving around and looking at the gorgeous fall leaves. And of course, Camp was such a trooper!
The beautiful Mims home.
Adam really wanted to get in that water!!! :)
On Saturday we drove up to Cashiers, North Carolina where Adam's family was waiting for us at the Red Canoe Cottage. We stayed in that house two years ago and it was just as beautiful as I remembered it. We had a great time relaxing, sightseeing, and eating great food!
