We had Camp's birthday party at our house this weekend. I had been planning a dinosaur birthday party since he was 2 and a half! :) Camp went back and forth this summer with his birthday party theme, but I was happy he finally decided on dinosaurs. I had so much fun planning all of the little details. I think Camp had a great time at his party and that is all that matters when throwing a birthday party for a four year old! :)
I made this wreath and I love the way it turned out. I didn't realize how many balloons I'd really need to fill it like I wanted to, but I'm justifying that by the fact that it'll get used for lots of birthdays. I'm even considering renting this baby out! :)
I searched for dinosaur invites on etsy and finally found one that I loved...I wanted to make a dinosaur birthday be as tasteful as possible. :) Haha! I loved the colors from the invites and went with that for the color scheme of the party.
I finally made Camp a birthday banner and I just love it.
We rented a bounce house for the first time and it couldn't have been any easier...I think the kiddies really enjoyed it. Of course we had to get the dinosaur jump jump jump! :) Camp was so excited when this thing got delivered to our house!
We also had a sand pile so the children could dig for dinosaurs...or just play in the sand! I think this was a huge hit as well.
I buried mini dinosaurs I found at the dollar store...they were perfect.
Mommy and Daddy with the big four year old! I wish Collins would have been awake so he could be in the pic too!!
The party spread...cheese and crackers, chick fil a nuggets, fruit, dinosaur cookies, and thumbprint cookies.
these thumbprint cookies were a huge hit!
dinosaur lollipops for party favors...
The red chevron tablecloth is 2.5 yards of Premier Prints Zig Zag fabric. Purchased from a great etsy seller. Etsy is such a great resource for party supplies...virtually anything you're looking for can be found on etsy!!
Guests starting to arrive! Sweet Hadley arrived in style...
I found these cute red and white chevron goodie bags on etsy for the piñata treats and I also had the stickers made to go on the bags.
Piñata time!
look at that lefty!
Daddy had to finally rip the piñata open himself after every party guest had a turn hitting it.
Time for cupcakes! Thanks to Mary for finding these precious cupcake liners and picks at TJ Maxx...they were just perfect.
Camp wanted nothing to do with blowing out his candles!
Bounce house fun!
I say the party was a success! I'm so glad so many of Camp's friends came out to celebrate.
A special shout out to Yaya for coming over early yesterday morning to help with last minute details and for watching Collins throughout the entire party. I wasn't even considering what we'd do with Collins during the party! :) AND to Mary & David for picking up the balloons and Chick fil A!! We are soooo lucky to have such wonderful and helpful family and friends!
